Implications of Brexit for Culture and Education
Altiero Spinelli Building, room A3G-3
The CULT Committee held a public hearing on the implications of Brexit for culture and education.
After a general introduction to explore the Brexit process and the scope for future cooperation, the hearing was divided into two panels - on education policy and on cultural policy. Both panels examined the likely impact of Brexit both from the UK and the EU perspective. For the cultural panel, the focus was on creative industries, as they are likely to be directly affected by the Brexit. Representatives from the academic and business sectors presented their views and took part in the debate.
