On 3 October 2019, Colm Lordan, Vice-Chair of the ICES Advisory Committee gave a presentation in the PECH Committee on how ICES advises on sustainable management of fish stocks and marine ecosystems. The International Council for the Exploitation of the Seas (ICES) is a global intergovernmental science organisation that provides independent advice on fisheries resources and the marine ecosystem.

The fifth meeting of the Joint Parliamentary Scrutiny Group on Europol (JPSG) will take place on 23-24 September 2019 in Brussels. The JPSG brings together Members of national parliaments and the European Parliament to fulfill the scrutiny and oversight on the activities of Europol including on fundamental rights. The JPSG meets at least twice a year. It is Co-Chaired by the European Parliament and the country holding the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

This paper was prepared by Policy Department A at the request of TAX3 to discuss tax challenges posed by digitalisation, especially regarding new business models and value creation process, the impact of BEPS actions, unilateral measures and recent tax developments in the EU and the USA while evaluating alternative approaches to reform the international tax system and highlighting difficulties and opportunities presented by Blockchain and collaborative economy for international taxation.

On 19 February 2019 in the afternoon the TAX3 Committee will exchange views with the Spanish State Secretary for Finance Ms Inés María Bardón Rafael on the digital tax that the Spanish Government is proposing to introduce in their domestic legislation and the Spanish position in relation to the Commission's proposals on the matter.

The diversity of detrimental factors for the European eel stock and the number of involved stakeholders complicate eel stock management. Knowledge on the economic impact of management measures is required to better assess implications for stakeholders. This workshop will provide an overview of impacts and management measures and provide economic data from European hydropower and fisheries sectors in order to estimate repercussions of eel management measures for stakeholders.

Participants from the European Parliament and national parliaments of 28 Member States will discuss the European Parliament's legislative and inquiry work in the area of tax and anti-money laundering and Taxation of the Digital Economy.
