INTA mission to South Africa

During the mission INTA Members assessed the implementation of EU-SADC Economic Partnership Agreement that has been provisionally applied since October 2016. In addition, the Members took stock with their counterparts of bilateral EU and South Africa trade and investment relations. They also met with civil society, chambers of commerce, land reform and trade law experts among others.

There was a public debate on trade and gender with UN Women, Black Business Council, Black Management Forum and other stakeholders. Members also participated in EU-South Africa Joint Parliamentary Meeting and discussed topics ranging from the strategic cooperation between EU and South Africa to trade, water management and food security.
