Constituent meeting of 26 September 2019

During the DSCA constituent meeting on 26 September 2019, the members of the Delegation's Bureau were elected by acclamation.

  • Chair: Ms Marina KALJURAND (S&D, ET);
  • 1st Vice-Chair: Mr Kosma ZŁOTOWSKI (ECR, PL); and
  • 2nd Vice-Chair: Ms Rasa JUKNECIČIENÉ (EPP, LT)

It was also the occasion, for the Members, to exchange views on the linguistic profile of the Delegation, and on the calendar of activities for the remainder of the year.

COVID-19 pandemic

The Delegation for relations with the South Caucasus has modified its programme of activities in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The changes have been mandated by the President of the European Parliament and its political leaders. The aim is to enable Parliament to exercise its core functions, while complying with the duty of care for its Members and staff and protecting public health.

While the DSCA delegation is currently unable to travel, Members will be meeting to discuss the situation in Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia.
