International Women's Day 2019

On Friday, 15 March, the European Commission and the European Parlaiment will be hosting an event in Europe House to mark International Women's Day 2019, celebrating female entrepreneurism in rural Ireland.

International Women's Day will take place on Friday 8 March 2019, celebrating women and their many achievements all over the world. The European Parliament and the European Commission are proud to be taking part with an event specifically designed to mark the many female entrepreneurs dotted across rural Ireland.

Over fifty attendees are expected at Europe House on Lower Mount Street where they will be addressed by European Commissioner Phil Hogan and Vice-Presidnet of the European Parliament Mairead McGuinness. Chairing the event will be Mairead Lavery, editor of Irish Country Living and also participating in the discussion will be Siobhan Lawless, Founder and CEO of Food of Athenry as well as Norma Dinneen, Founder and CEO of Bó Rua.
