Thirty three pieces of legislation (directives, regulations and decisions) and four recommendations in the field of social policy for which the Committee on Social Affairs and Employment was responible were issued by the Council over the period under examination. Each piece of legislation is evaluated separately, by analysing the Cornmission's and the Council's reaction to Parliament's amendments.
