Entre 2019 et 2021, l’initiative citoyenne européenne (ICE) «Sauvons les abeilles et les agriculteurs!» a recueilli plus d’un million de signatures. L’ICE appelle à réduire l’usage des pesticides jusqu’à les supprimer totalement d’ici à 2035. La Commission s’est félicitée de cette initiative. Après une audition qui s’est tenue en janvier 2023, le Parlement en débattra lors de sa session plénière de mars I.
