La Commission propose de modifier la directive 2004/37/CE concernant la protection des travailleurs contre les risques liés à l'exposition à des agents cancérigènes ou mutagènes au travail (ci-après «la directive»), en élargissant son champ d’application et en intégrant et/ou en révisant les valeurs limites d’exposition professionnelle pour 13 agents chimiques responsables de cancers et de mutations. Le Parlement mettra aux voix cette proposition au cours de la période de session d’octobre II.
Parliament rejects criteria for endocrine disruptors
On 4 October 2017, the European Parliament voted to object to the European Commission's draft regulation setting out criteria for identifying endocrine disruptors in the area of plant protection products (PPPs). The vote followed the Parliament's Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI) backing a motion for resolution to reject the criteria. The Commission says it needs now to reflect on the next steps to take.
