Trends and Key Policy Issues in the Area of Internal Market 2009-2019

The aim of this paper is to analyse forward trends affecting the Single Market and identify some of the key policy choices in the period 2009-2019. It concludes that large untapped opportunities to decrease the gap between the potential and the reality of the Single Market exists and proposes concrete short and long term policy actions to enhance the functioning of the internal market.
