Fisheries in Veneto

This note was requested by the Committee on Fisheries for its Delegation to Northern Italy (9-11/10/2012). The note provides a review of the main characteristics of the Veneto fisheries sector, with a focus on issues such as the legal and institutional framework, resource management, catches, the fishing fleet, fishing industry, external trade, employment, aquaculture and marine research.
