Gender budgeting in the Member States
This briefing gives an overview of the state of play of gender budgeting in the EU Member States. Their parliaments were asked to fill out a questionnaire regarding gender budgeting in their national policies. Replies from 24 countries have been received. Nine countries do neither practise gender budgeting nor consider to introduce it. The reason given is that often the country’s gender equality policy is seen as sufficient.
