Parliament's FEMM Committee met representatives of the German Presidency of the Council of the European Union to discuss its priorities in the field of women's rights and gender equality.
Franziska Giffey, Federal Minister, informed about the Presidency's priorities in this area, with a special focus on the ongoing legislative files, namely Women on Boards and the EU accession to the Istanbul Convention, as well as on the recovery from the Covid crisis.The German Presidency started in the beginning of July and runs until the end of December 2020.
