Old continent growing older - vote on amendments - 22.09.2020

On 22 September 2020, Members voted on the position in the form of amendments "Old continent growing older - possibilities and challenges related to ageing policy post 2020"

The 154 amendments tabled mainly point out some gender inequalities women face, such as the gender pay and pension gap, the unequal burden with regard to care, as well as unequal access to health and research in health.
The amendments highlight some measures that could be taken at the EU level in in order to counterbalance these inequalities exacerbated by an aging population.

In total, 123 amendments were adopted.
