06-11-2020 - 09:52
On 12 October, the INTA will organise its 5th 'Trade Policy Day' hearing, which on this occasion is entirely dedicated to a renewed EU trade policy after the COVID-19 pandemic. The keynote speech will be given by Valdis Dombrovskis, Executive Vice-President and new trade commissioner. Following this, two renowned economists, Gabriel Felbermayr from the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, and Joseph S. Shapiro, Associate Professor at UC Berkeley, will set the scene for a panel discussion on "What do stakeholders expect from Europe", which will include the Director-General of DG Trade, Sabine Weyand, and representatives of EUROCHAMBRES, CLIENTEARTH and AMFORI.
