European Cultural Heritage
To mark the European Year of Cultural Heritage 2018 (EYCH), the Committee on Culture and Education held an interparliamentary committee meeting on "European Cultural Heritage", organised around three thematic areas: Culture and Identity; Preservation, Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage; and Cultural Heritage and Education

Cultural and Creative Sectors in the EU
Cultural and Creative Sectors preserve and promote cultural and linguistic diversity, strengthen European and regional identity, and substantially contribute to growth, innovation and employment in the EU economy. Several Members of National Parliaments were present to discuss strategies for promoting these sectors. The Interparliamentary Committee meeting took place on Tuesday 11 October from 15:00-18:30 in meeting room JAN 6Q2 (József Antall building).

Education and Youth
Education and youth policies are closely connected at both EU and national level. The Interparliamentary meeting of CULT Committee with national parliaments focused on these issues. The Interparliamentary Committee meeting took place on Thursday 3 December from 09:00-12:30.
