Internal border controls within the Schengen area: committee debate

In the LIBE Committee meeting of 12 May Members had a full session dedicated to the internal border controls within the Schengen area, starting with a report by Tanja Fajon on the work of the LIBE Working Group on Schengen Scrutiny, followed by an exchange of views with Terezija Gras, State Secretary for European and International Affairs, Ministry of the Interior, Croatian Presidency and Monique Pariat, Director-General, DG HOME, European Commission.
Members took stock of the debate in an oral question and a resolution.
