Public Hearing on the Future of the EU Electricity Market

On 10 July 2017, the ITRE Committee held a public hearing on the Future of the EU Electricity Market. The hearing was organised in the context of the legislative work of the Committee on the ‘Clean Energy Package’ which was adopted by the Commission on 30 November 2016.
The hearing focused on the legislative proposals of the package that aim to set a new regulatory framework for the EU electricity market design. The hearing allowed Members to have a dialogue with the relevant experts and stakeholders on the content of the Commission's proposals.
