Director Rasi further briefed ENVI Members on EMA’s COVID-19 response

On Monday 18 May, Professor Guido RASI, Executive Director of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) gave a further update and had an exchange with ENVI Members on the agency’s intense recent activities during the COVID-19 pandemic aiming at expediting the development and approval of safe and effective treatments and vaccines, supporting the continued availability of medicines in the EU, and providing reliable information to patients and healthcare professionals.
Professor Rasi already participated in the ENVI Meeting of 12 May, but due to insufficient time and the high interest of Members he has agreed to take part in an additional exchange.
