Timetables and legal basis for the Economic Dialogues
Economic Dialogues (ED) are held in order to enhance the dialogue between the EU institutions on the application of economic governance rules and with Member States, if appropriate, to ensure greater transparency and accountability. The competent committee of the European Parliament may invite representatives of Member States, the European Commission, the President of the Council, the President of the European Council and the President of the Eurogroup, to discuss economic and policy issues.
