Meeting of 13 October 2022 - D-SEE Kosovo

The meeting participants exchanged views on the latest developments in Kosovo and the state of play of EU-Kosovo relations, with

  • H.E. Mr Agron BAJRAMI, Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo in Brussels,
  • Mr Vassilis MARAGOS, Head of Unit for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo at the European Commission and
  • Ms Elsa FENET, Head of the Western Balkans Division at the European External Action Service.
The delegation considered also the draft agenda for the 9th EU-Kosovo Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee meeting due to be held in Pristina on 3-4 November 2022.

The meeting participants exchanged views on the latest developments in Kosovo and the state of play of EU-Kosovo relations, with

The delegation considered also the draft agenda for the 10th EU-Kosovo Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee meeting due to be held in Strasbourg on 15-16 March 2023.

The meeting participants exchanged views on the latest developments in Kosovo and the state of play of EU-Kosovo relations, with

  • H.E. Mr Astrit ZEMAJ, Ambassador - Chargé d'affaires of the Republic of Kosovo in Brussles,
  • Mr Vassilis MARAGOS, Head of Unit for Bosnia and Herzegovina and Kosovo at the European Commission, and
  • Ms Elsa FENET, Head of the Western Balkans Division at the European External Action Service.
The delegation also considered the draft agenda for the 8th EU-Kosovo Stabilisation and Association Parliamentary Committee meeting due to be held on 9-10 March 2022 in Strasbourg.

Meeting of 12 January 2022, remote

The meeting included an exchange of views on the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the non-implementation of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights in the cases of Sejdić and Finci versus Bosnia and Herzegovina, Azra Zornić versus Bosnia and Herzegovina and other related cases, with the following invited guest speakers:

  • Mr Dervo Sejdić,
  • Mr Jakob Finci,
  • Ms Valery Perry (representing Ms Azra Zornić).

The meeting included an exchange of views on the latest developments in Kosovo and the state of play of EU-Kosovo relations, with

The meeting included an exchange of views on the latest developments in Kosovo and the state of play of EU-Kosovo relations, with

  • Mr Riccardo SERRI, Deputy Head of the European Union Office in Kosovo,
  • Ms Una HAJDARI, freelance journalist based in Pristina, and
  • Dr. Vjosa MUSLIU, assistant professor at the Department of Political Science, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB).

On Monday, 21 June 2021 the European Parliament's Albania, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey delegations held a joint meeting to discuss the Climate Change in the Mediterranean: situation of the UfM members in the enlargement area.

Members have exchanged views with the Vice President Mr Pedro SILVA PEREIRA, who spoke on behalf of the EP Presidency of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean (PA - UfM), experts from the academia, European Commission and the civil society.

Meeting of 3 June 2021, remote

The meeting included an exchange of views on the political and economic situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and on its relations with the EU with

  • H.E. Ms Emina MERDAN, Ambassador‑Head of the Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the EU,
  • Mr Alberto CAMMARATA, Deputy Head of Unit for BiH and Albania in the EC, and
  • Ms Elsa FENET, Head of Division 'Western Balkans' in the EEAS,
in view of 2nd EU-Bosnia and Herzegovina SAPC which will take place on 17 June 2021, semi-remote.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on:

  1. constitutional and electoral issues in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and
  2. state of play regarding fundamental rights and the role of civic activism


Joint meeting of 11 May 2021 on Gender Equality & Women's Rights, remote

A Joint Western Balkans and Turkey Delegations' Meeting on Gender Equality & Women's Rights took place remotely via Webex on 11 May 2021.

In this meeting, Members had the possibility to discuss the state of play in gender equality and women's rights with local civil society and academia experts.

The meeting was organised under the patronage of the Chairs of the EP Enlargement delegations and was presided by Mr Tonino Picula, Chair of the AFET Working group on the Western Balkans.
