Meeting of 5 February 2019, Brussels


The meeting (IN CAMERA) included debriefing on recent developments in Ukraine and in EU-Ukraine relations, including a debriefing of the Association Council of 17 December 2018 and of the senior EU mission to the Azov Sea region (27 January - 2 February 2019) with:

Meeting of 12 December 2018, Strasbourg

This meeting, which took place in the framework of the Sakharov Prize Award Week 2018, included exchange of views with Natalya Kaplan and Dmitriy Dinze, representatives of Oleg Sentsov, laureate of the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought 2018.

The meeting also provided the occasion to watch in the presence of film director Askold Kurov the documentary movie "The Trial. The Russian State vs Oleg Sentsov".

Meeting of 27 November 2018, Brussels

The meeting was organised to mark the 5th anniversary of the start of the Euro-Maidan revolution and to discuss the Maidan Legacy, including from the point of view of citizens and activists.

Meeting of 13 September 2018, Strasbourg

At the meeting Mr Urmas PAET was elected the second Vice-chair by acclamation following the resignation of Ms Kaja KALLAS.

Meeting (IN CAMERA) of 18 January 2018, Strasbourg

The meeting included debriefing of the EU-Ukraine Association Council of 8 December 2017 and perspectives for EU-Ukraine relations for 2018, as well as an exchange of views on recent developments in the field of anti-corruption and the EU response with:

Meeting of 5 September 2017, Brussels

The D-UA delegation met on 5 September 2017 to discuss the outcome of the last EU-Ukraine Summit (13 July) and the current state of play of bilateral relations, of reforms and of security situation in Ukraine, in order to prepare for MEPs' visit to Ukraine for the sixth meeting of the EU-Ukraine Parliamentary Association Committee.

MEPs exchanged views with:
  • Mr Oleksandr Irkhin, Deputy Head of Mission of Ukraine to the European Union;
  • Mr Peter Wagner, Head of the Support Group Ukraine in the European Commission (DG NEAR) and
  • Mr Dirk Schuebel, Head of the EEAS division for bilateral relations with Eastern partners.

Meeting of 12 July 2017, Brussels

The Delegation held an internal working meeting with
  • MEP Elmar BROK, Lead Member for EP democracy support activities in Ukraine and
  • Mr Pat COX, former EP President,
to discuss the current state of play of EP democracy support activities for the Ukrainian Parliament (capacity building activities and mediation), especially on the state of implementation of the recommendations adopted following the "Needs Assessment Mission" (NAM) conducted in 2015 and the outcome of the two "Jean-Monnet Dialogues" established under EP guidance with the assistance of the National Democratic Institute.

Members also discussed ways to enhance the delegation's contribution to the fulfillment of the NAM recommendations, especially in the field of implementation of the Association Agreement (AA).

Meeting of 17 May 2017, Strasbourg

The meeting included an exchange of views with representatives of religions from Ukraine.
