Danuta Hübner MEP to vist DCU
Danuta Hübner MEP, member of the European Parliament's Brexit Steering Group, is visiting Dublin City University's Brexit Institute on Thursday 6 September 2018.
Dublin City University (DCU) established the Brexit Institute with the aim to explore how Brexit impacts government, business and society at large. Since its foundation the institute has welcomed influencers from all walks of life to speak on all issues relating to the UK's decision to leave the European Union.
This Thursday, 6 September, the DCU Brexit Institute is hosting an event in The Helix entitled 'Brexit: By Design or By Default'. Daire Keogh, Deputy President DCU, will be opening the event with a speech at 11.30am followed by panel discussions led by Caitriona Perry of RTE, Kevin Doyle of the Irish Independent and Federico Fabbrini, Director of the Institute.
Among those participating in the various panels will be Anne Mulder MP (Netherlands), Senator Ian Marshall (Ireland), Senator Vaclav Hampl (Czech Republic), Stephen Gethins MP (United Kingdom) as well as Tom Hall (AIB), David Molloy (Arthur Cox) and Mary Murphy (UCC). The keynote speech by Danuta Hübner MEP will take place at 3.30pm and will conclude the day's events. Danuta Hübner MEP is the Chairwoman of the European Parliament Constitutional Affairs Committee as well as an outspoken member of the Brexit Steering Group which is chaired by former Belgian PM Guy Verhofstadt MEP.
