Frances Fitzgerald MEP chairs event entitled 'EU Trade Amidst Global Uncertainty'
Today, Frances Fitzgerald MEP, in collaboration with the European Parliament's Office in Ireland, organised and chaired an event entitled 'EU Trade Amidst Global Uncertainty' in the RIA on Dawson Street, Dublin.
Phil Hogan, the EU Trade Commissioner gave the keynote speech addressing issues such as Transatlantic relations, COVID-19 and the future trading relationship with the United Kingdom. Other speakers included Caroline Keeling, CEO Keelings and Aongus Hegarty, President of International Markets, Dell Technologies. Also in attendance was newly elected MEP Barry Andrews who is also a member of the European Parliament's committee on International Trade (INTA).
The panel engaged in a Q&A with figures from the Irish business community, representing organisations such as IBEC, American Chamber of Commerce Ireland, Irish Farmers' Association and many others.
60 representatives from the media, Ireland's diverse business community and civil society attended today's event.
