Τάσσομαι υπέρ του συγκεκριμένου ψηφίσματος το οποίο αποσκοπεί στην ενίσχυση των ελέγχων των εμπορευμάτων που εισέρχονται και εξέρχονται από τα σύνορα της Ένωσης, με τη χορήγηση χρηματοδότησης για την αγορά, συντήρηση και αναβάθμιση του εξοπλισμού τελωνειακών ελέγχων, όπως είναι οι νέοι σαρωτές, τα αυτοματοποιημένα συστήματα ανίχνευσης αριθμών κυκλοφορίας και τα κινητά εργαστήρια ανάλυσης δειγμάτων. Το μέσο αυτό αποτελεί ένα νέο χρηματοδοτικό εργαλείο που αναπτύχθηκε μετά από αιτήματα των κρατών μελών και βασίζεται επομένως στις ανάγκες τους όσον αφορά την καλύτερη διαχείριση τόσο των εξωτερικών όσο και των εσωτερικών συνόρων.

Τάσσομαι υπέρ του συγκεκριμένου ψηφίσματος. Η σύναψη επίσημων, νομικά δεσμευτικών συμφωνιών στο πλαίσιο της συνεργασίας με τρίτες χώρες, σε αντίθεση με τη σύναψη ανεπίσημης συμφωνίας εργασίας, είναι ζωτικής σημασίας για τη διασφάλιση της διαφάνειας, του δημόσιου ελέγχου και της δημοκρατικής εποπτείας της εν λόγω συνεργασίας. Η παρούσα συμφωνία περί καθεστώτος και αυτές που θα την ακολουθήσουν είναι ζωτικής σημασίας, όχι μόνο για να εξασφαλιστεί η διαφάνεια και η λογοδοσία της επιχειρησιακής συνεργασίας του Ευρωπαϊκού Οργανισμού Συνοριοφυλακής και Ακτοφυλακής με τρίτες χώρες, αλλά και για να εξασφαλιστεί ένα σαφές πλαίσιο για τη συνεργασία με τρίτες χώρες σχετικά με τη διαχείριση των εξωτερικών συνόρων της ΕΕ. Η περί καθεστώτος συμφωνία θα πρέπει επίσης να διασφαλίζει την προστασία των θεμελιωδών δικαιωμάτων και να τονίζει το καθήκον των μελών της ομάδας να σέβονται πλήρως τα θεμελιώδη δικαιώματα και τις ελευθερίες, ειδικότερα όσον αφορά την πρόσβαση στις διαδικασίες χορήγησης ασύλου, την ανθρώπινη αξιοπρέπεια, την απαγόρευση των βασανιστηρίων και της απάνθρωπης ή εξευτελιστικής μεταχείρισης, το δικαίωμα στην ελευθερία, την αρχή της μη επαναπροώθησης και την απαγόρευση των ομαδικών απελάσεων, τα δικαιώματα του παιδιού και το δικαίωμα στον σεβασμό της ιδιωτικής και οικογενειακής ζωής εντός του πεδίου εφαρμογής της συμφωνίας.

Τάσσομαι υπέρ του συγκεκριμένου ψηφίσματος. Το σύστημα κινητικότητας που διαθέτουμε υφίσταται βαθιές αλλαγές για να γίνει πιο ψηφιακό, πιο ασφαλές και πιο καθαρό. Η περαιτέρω αυτοματοποίηση των οχημάτων σε όλους τους τρόπους μεταφορών, ιδίως σε σχέση με τα συνδεδεμένα και αυτοματοποιημένα οδικά οχήματα, σε συνδυασμό με την εξέλιξη στις τεχνολογίες πληροφοριών και επικοινωνιών, παρέχει σημαντικές ευκαιρίες για τη βελτίωση των κυκλοφοριακών ροών, την αύξηση της ασφάλειας για όλους τους χρήστες και τη μείωση των περιβαλλοντικών επιπτώσεων των μεταφορών. Επιπλέον, θα πρέπει να υπάρξει άμεση ανταπόκριση σε εκκρεμή ζητήματα όσον αφορά την προστασία των δεδομένων, τη χρήση των δεδομένων επί των οχημάτων και των διαδρομών, και την κυβερνοασφάλεια.
