Mit der Ablehnung der Resolution wenden wir uns nicht gegen die Einberufung eines Konvents zur Änderung der europäischen Verträge. Vielmehr ergibt sich unsere Ablehnung aus dem Kontext der Forderung nach der Schaffung eines europäischen Grundrechts auf Abtreibung. Einen Konvent zur Überarbeitung der Verträge mit dem Ziel, die Handlungsfähigkeit und Kompetenzabgrenzung in der EU zu verbessern, unterstützt die CDU/CSU-Gruppe weiterhin.
