Ich habe gegen diesen Bericht gestimmt, weil er Forderungen enthält, die nicht meinen Vorstellungen von der Weiterentwicklung der Europäischen Union und insbesondere der Wirtschafts- und Währungsunion entsprechen. Ich glaube fest an Europa, den Euro und die Europäische Union, und die EU muss und wird sich weiterentwickeln. Dieser Bericht enthält dafür auch einige positive Ansätze, aber ebenso Punkte, die ich aufgrund sehr offener Formulierungen in dieser Form nicht unterstützen kann. Deshalb habe ich in der Endabstimmung gegen den Bericht gestimmt.
