Hearings today: Alenka Bratušek, Valdis Dombrovskis, Andrus Ansip and Federica Mogherini
Vice-president designates Alenka Bratušek, Valdis Dombrovskis, Andrus Ansip and high representative Federica Mogherini are next to appear at the European Parliament for three-hour long interviews. Their competences and knowledge will be tested today by the relevant parliamentary committees. Follow the meetings live on our website and join the conversation on Parliament’s social media channels.

Today, 6 October, the following hearings take place (all times are CET):
Alenka Bratušek, from Slovenia, has been put forward as vice-president for energy union. Her hearing with the industry, research and energy committee and the environment committee will start at 14.30. You can follow it live here.
Latvian Valdis Dombrovskis has been nominated as vice-president for the euro and social dialogue and will be heard by the economic and monetary affairs committee and the employment and social affairs committee. His hearing starts at 14.30. Follow it live.
Estonia's Andrus Ansip has been assigned the portfolio of vice-president for digital single market. He will be questionnned by the internal market and consumer protection committee; the industry, research and energy committee; and the civil liberties, justice and home affairs committee. Federica Mogherini, from Italy, has been proposed as the EU's high representative for foreign policy and security policy, which would also make her a vice-president of the Commission. She will be heard by the foreign affairs committee. Watch her hearing live from 18.30.
