Personalised Medicine (PM - sometimes also termed as precision or stratified medicine) refers to the grouping of patients based on risk of disease, or response to therapy, using advanced diagnostic tests or techniques. The briefing gives an account of the initiatives taken at the EU to foster the advancement of this approach into daily practice.

This briefing summarizes the main features of the EU industral policy based on the solutions currently envisaged by the EU Commission.

The digitalisation of manufacturing industry, i.e. employing in depth digital technologies for the performance of good production raises additional cybersecurity questions. This compilation of briefings presents the most salient points and essential commitments made by the commissioners-designate during the hearings held in September/October 2014 before the parliamentary committees. These commitments concern the main on-going legislative procedures, the preparation of future legislative proposals as well as the scrutiny of the implementation of existing legislation.
