Dette studie indeholder en analyse af optagelsessystemerne til videregående uddannelse i ti lande, som omfatter en række EU-medlemsstater (Frankrig, Tyskland, Italien, Slovenien, Sverige og Det Forenede Kongerige), et kandidatland (Tyrkiet) samt tre lande, der almindeligvis anvendes til internationale sammenligninger (Australien, Japan og USA). Analysen af optagelsessystemerne er struktureret omkring tre akser: retfærdighed, kvalitet og de studerendes mobilitet.
