Economic Dialogue with Vice-President Dombrovskis and Commissioner Moscovici on the Implementation of the Macro-Economic Imbalance Procedure - ECON on 11 April 2016

Vice-President Dombrovskis and Commissioner Moscovici are participating in an Economic Dialogue on the implementation of the European Semester, in accordance with Article 14(1) of Regulation 1176/2011 on prevention and correction of macroeconomic imbalances. This note gives an overview of the latest developments in the context of the ongoing European Semester cycle, focussing on the Macroeconomic Imbalance Procedure (MIP). It includes information on the implementation of Country Specific Recommendations in countries presenting macroeconomic imbalances in 2015, and reviews recent positions by relevant institutions on the implementation of the MIP.
