The delivery model for the post 2022 common agricultural policy (CAP) involves basic EU level policy rules and greater responsibility for Member States as to how they tailor their CAP measure toolboxes to local needs. The national CAP strategic plans drawn up to this end by Member States are now at the approval stage.

Die Gemeinsame Agrarpolitik (GAP) der EU feiert dieses Jahr ihren 60. Geburtstag. Dieser bildet zugleich einen entscheidenden Wendepunkt, was ihre Funktionsweise betrifft, da ihre Umsetzung ab 2023 einem neuen Modell folgt. Die nachstehende Zeitleiste enthält eine Darstellung wichtiger legislativer und politischer Entwicklungen, die die GAP in den letzten sechs Jahrzehnten geprägt haben.

Die Kommission legte am 1. Juni 2018 drei Gesetzgebungsvorschläge zur Gemeinsamen Agrarpolitik (GAP) der EU vor. Dazu gehört ein Vorschlag zu den GAP-Strategieplänen, mit denen die einzelnen Mitgliedstaaten die GAP-Maßnahmen zur Verwirklichung der festgelegten Ziele festlegen. Nach langwierigen Verhandlungen soll im November im Plenum über den endgültigen Text abgestimmt werden, auf den sich die Verhandlungsführer des Europäischen Parlaments und des Rates im Juni 2021 geeinigt haben.

Die Europäische Kommission hat im Juni 2018 ein Reformpaket mit Vorschriften über die finanziellen Aspekte der Agrarpolitik der Europäischen Union (EU) vorgeschlagen. Nach langwierigen Verhandlungen über diese Reform soll nun auf der November-II-Plenartagung über den Text abgestimmt werden, auf den sich das Europäische Parlament und der Rat der EU im Juni 2021 schließlich geeinigt haben.
