Einigung über Reform der Gemeinschaftsmarke
Die Kommission, der Rat und das Europäische Parlament (EP) haben sich in zweiter Lesung auf das Paket zur Reform des Markensystems geeinigt. Der Rat hat zahlreichen Änderungsanträgen des EP zugestimmt. Im Anschluss an die am 3. Dezember 2015 verabschiedeten Berichte des Rechtsausschusses kann das EP nun im Plenum die geänderten Rechtsakte billigen und das Harmonisierungsamt für den Binnenmarkt in „Amt der Europäischen Union für geistiges Eigentum“ umbenennen.

The legal framework for trademarks in the EU is based on the coexistence of national trademarks systems, harmonised by a Directive since 1988, and a unitary Community Trademark, introduced in 1994 by a Regulation. In March 2013 the Commission adopted a reform package for EU trademark law.
