Following the Commision’s adoption of the Action plan on Sustainable Finance in 2018 with the aim to foster investment in sustainable projects and incorporate sustainability in financial advice, the SFDR was adopted by the European Parliament and the Council in November 2019. It aims to provide investors who seek to put their money into companies and projects focusing on sustainable development with the necessary information. Furthermore, the SFDR allows investors to assess the integration of sustainability ...

The distinction between delegated and implementing acts was introduced in Articles 290 and 291 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union by the Treaty of Lisbon. Before its entry into force, the distinction was not formally known, although the idea of delegated legislation in the EU legal order was already present. In particular, acts adopted under the regulatory procedure with scrutiny (RPS) as part of the comitology procedure are often regarded as direct predecessors of today's delegated ...

The Czech Republic (Czechia) has a parliamentary system of government. The Czech Parliament consists of Poslanecká sněmovna (the Chamber of Deputies) and Senát (the Senate), both elected directly. It is considered an imperfect bicameral system, with the Chamber of Deputies able to overrule the Senate in most instances (Chapter II of the Czech Constitution adopted in 1992). The European Commission has tabled a proposal for a multiannual management plan for stocks of cod, herring and sprat in the Baltic Sea and for the fisheries exploiting them. Multiannual plans are an essential tool for sustainable exploitation of fish stocks and for increased predictability over the long run for fishermen. Lühitutvustus 11-01-2016

The European Union is a contracting party to the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT), responsible for the management of these stocks and the fisheries exploiting them. Elements of international commitments made by the EU in ICCAT between 2012 and 2014, which are not already part of EU law, should be included therein. This also provides the occasion to group measures on a multiannual recovery plan for Bluefin tuna within a new regulation.

This paper provides basic information on transparency, public participation and government accountability in U.S. rulemaking procedures, in constitutional and historical context. Under the U.S. Administrative Procedure Act, regulatory agencies must (1) provide the public with sufficient specific information about a regulatory proposal to fairly apprise interested parties of the subjects and issues involved so that they may present responsive data or arguments, and (2) consider, analyze and address ...

Multiannual plans for fisheries management are an essential tool to ensure the sustainable exploitation of fish stocks and marine ecosystems, and also offer fishermen increased predictability over the long run. In October 2014, the European Commission proposed a multiannual plan for stocks of cod, herring and sprat in the Baltic Sea and for the fisheries exploiting them. This proposal, the first to build on the principles of the 2013 reform of the Common Fisheries Policy, may be seen as a test case ...
