Käesolevas uuringus käsitletakse sadamaliikluse osakaalu ELis. Selles koondatakse teave sadamaliikluse ja selle eripärade kohta ning analüüsitakse mitmesuguseid transpordiliike, mida kasutatakse sadamate ühendamiseks kaupade lõppsihtkohtadega, sealhulgas ümberlaadimist, lähimerevedu ja sisesadamaid. Uuringuga toetatakse hinnangut edusammude kohta, mida on tehtud maanteeveolt alternatiivsetele transpordiliikidele üleminekuga seotud poliitikaeesmärkide saavutamisel.
