Le contrôle des pêches, qui vise à garantir le respect de la politique commune de la pêche (PCP) est un facteur essentiel de son succès. Le système de contrôle de l’Union est en cours de révision, avec une proposition de la Commission visant à moderniser le suivi des activités de pêche, et à améliorer l’application et la mise à jour de la réglementation conformément à la dernière réforme de la PCP.
