A közvetlen adózás területét az európai jogszabályok nem szabályozzák közvetlenül. Mindazonáltal jó néhány irányelv és az Európai Unió Bíróságának (EUB) ítélkezési gyakorlata meghatározzák a társasági és a személyi adózás harmonizált normáit.
