E tanulmány áttekinti az EU-ban az iskolai lemorzsolódás problémájának nagyságrendjét és természetét. Részletesen megvizsgálja, hogy az országok miként próbálják kezelni e problémát, és azonosítja az eredményes politikák sajátosságait, aminek eredményeként a jövőre nézve különböző ajánlásokat fogalmaz meg az európai és nemzeti szinten működő szereplők számára.
