La commissione giuridica (JURI) ha presentato una relazione recante raccomandazioni alla Commissione sugli aspetti di diritto civile ed etici della robotica. La relazione chiede che la legislazione dell'UE preveda l'introduzione di un registro per la robotica, l'istituzione di un'Agenzia dell'UE per la robotica e la fissazione di principi di responsabilità civile per danni causati da robot. Tale normativa dovrebbe essere integrata da codici di condotta etici.
