This overview was prepared for the mission of the Committee on Transport and Tourism (TRAN) to Catania, Augusta and Naples (13-15 February 2018). It provides a status report on the main regional transport infrastructure in the context of the “Scandinavian-Mediterranean Corridor”.

Questa analisi approfondita è stata redatta per una delegazione della commissione per lo sviluppo regionale in visita in Sicilia. L'analisi fornisce una panoramica sulla regione Sicilia, sul suo sistema politico, economico e amministrativo e sul programma operativo per il periodo 2014-2020.

This note was requested by the Committee on Fisheries for its Delegation to Sicily (29-31/03/2010). The note provides a review of the main characteristics of the Sicilian fisheries sector, with a focus on issues such as the legal and institutional framework, resource management, catches, the fishing fleet, fishing industry, external trade, employment, aquaculture and marine research.

This study focuses on the period 2000-2006, giving an overall evaluation of the role and actions of the financial institutions in the implementation of the structural funds in Southern Italy and especially in Calabria and Sicily. In general what lessons can be drawn from the role of financial institutions in this part of Italy ?
