Deze studie is ontwikkeld om de huidige en toekomstige technologische opties voor de Europese dienst voor elektronische tolheffing te beoordelen. De sterke en zwakke punten van elk van de zes technologieën die op dit moment bestaan, komen aan bod. Ook worden technologische ontwikkelingen waaraan momenteel wordt gewerkt beoordeeld en komen de vooruitzichten voor de Europese Unie ter sprake.
