East-West Energy Cooperation
Studiu
01-06-1996
The European Parliament has taken an interest from the outset in issues concerning East-West cooperation in energy and nuclear security. The energy sector is a key sector in the economic life of both the Russian Federation, which is a large and inefficient consumer of energy, and all the states of the CIS and the other countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The aim of these external studies is to prepare background material for an EP-initiative concerning an action plan in this policy area; the study includes seven separate sub-studies.
