The original full study analyses the design and operation of regulatory sandboxes and innovation hubs as part of jurisdictions’ regulatory response to financial innovation, focusing on the models adopted in the EU and the EFTA countries. Evropski sistem finančnega nadzora je večplasten sistem organov mikro- in makrobonitetnega nadzora, katerega namen je skrbeti za dosleden in usklajen finančni nadzor v EU. Zajema Evropski odbor za sistemska tveganja (ESRB), tri evropske nadzorne organe (EBA, ESMA in EIOPA) in nacionalne nadzornike. Evropski sistem finančnega nadzora se je postopoma spreminjal, da bi upošteval kontekst, v katerem deluje, in sicer uvedbo bančne unije, cilj oblikovanja unije kapitalskih trgov in umik Velike Britanije ...

Finančne storitve so eno od pomembnih področij, na katerih si EU prizadeva dokončati notranji trg v smislu prostega pretoka storitev in kapitala. Pri povezovanju trgov lahko ločimo naslednje faze napredka: (1) odstranitev ovir za vstop na trge posameznih držav (1957–1973), (2) harmonizacija državnih zakonov in politik (1973–1983), (3) dokončanje notranjega trga (1983–1992), (4) vzpostavitev območja enotne valute in obdobje pred krizo (1999–2007) ter (5) svetovna finančna kriza in reforme po njej ...

Finančne storitve so eno od pomembnih področij, na katerih si EU prizadeva dokončati notranji trg v smislu prostega pretoka storitev in kapitala. Pogodba o delovanju Evropske unije (PDEU) v ta namen vsebuje določbe, katerih cilj je preprečiti omejitve in izkrivljanje konkurence na notranjem trgu. Bolj konkretno prepoveduje protikonkurenčne sporazume med podjetji in zlorabe tržnega položaja prevladujočih podjetij, ki bi lahko negativno vplivali na trgovino ...

Pogodba o delovanju Evropske unije (PDEU) v ta namen vsebuje določbe, katerih cilj je preprečiti omejitve in izkrivljanje konkurence na notranjem trgu. Bolj konkretno prepoveduje protikonkurenčne sporazume med podjetji in zlorabe tržnega položaja prevladujočih podjetij, ki bi lahko negativno vplivali na trgovino med državami članicami. Poleg tega so združitve in prevzemi podjetij na ravni Unije pod nadzorom Evropske komisije, ki jih lahko tudi prepove, če bi prišlo do znatnega zmanjšanja konkurence. Državna pomoč, dodeljena v korist posameznega podjetja ali izdelka, ki povzroča izkrivljanje konkurence, je sicer na splošno prepovedana, vendar se lahko v nekaterih posebnih primerih vseeno odobri. Določbe o konkurenci, razen v nekaterih izjemah, veljajo tudi za javna podjetja, javne storitve in storitve splošnega pomena.
