Тематичните отдели организират семинари с цел да се даде възможност на членовете на ЕП да задават въпроси на експерти и да обменят мнения с тях по теми, свързани с парламентарната работа, а също и по теми от актуален интерес. Те не са непременно публични, но могат да се провеждат по време на заседание на комисия.

CONT

The workshop on open spaces at EU institutions versus traditional work spaces will focus on the difference between different kind of offices spaces. It will answer the question on advantages and disadvantages, how Covid-19 has influence on the use of office space and employee well-being at work. The workshop will also focus on the current situation in the EU institutions regarding work spaces.

ENVI

The Health Working Group of the ENVI Committee requested the Policy Department A to organise a workshop on the issue of climate change and health, covering issues such as climate threat on physical health, the mental charge of climate change on vulnerable groups and regions and food and nutrition security concerns caused by climate change.

FEMM

Policy Department C will organize this workshop in the context of the own-initiative report on “The situation of sexual and reproductive health and rights in the EU, in the frame of women’s health” (Rapporteur: Predrag Fred Matić, S&D).

ENVI

The workshop will bring together four leading, independent experts in the field of deforestation from two renowned institutions (Environment Agency Austria and Cambridge Econometrics), in order to inform the ENVI Committee Members of the most important concerns in this area and to provide a forum for discussion.

IMCO

Policy Department A is organising for the IMCO Committee a workshop on the reform of E-commerce directive aimed at contributing to the legislative own-initiative report on "Digital Services Act: improving the functioning of the Single Market".

Trafficking in human beings (THB) is a serious crime affecting fundamental rights, health, social life, economy and justice. THB knows no boundaries and most reported victims are female.

ENVI

Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan is expected by the end of the year, and preparatory work and consultations are currently ongoing to shape the plan, set priorities and outline future action. This workshop looks into one of the key topics, modifiable risk factors and cancer prevention. Experts from all across the cancer spectrum will discuss with MEPs the state of play and main challenges, with a special angle on paediatric, digestive and HPV cancers.

The workshop was organised by the Economic Governance Support Unit for the ECON Committee on 11 December 2019.

ECON

The ECON Committee is organising a Banking Union Workshop on an EU liquidation regime for banks, which will be held on 4 December 2019 (14:30 – 16:30) in Brussels, room ASP5E2.

REGI

On Tuesday 8 October, within the framework of the European Week of Regions and Cities, REGI and the COTER commission of the European Committee of the Regions organise a joint meeting. Commissioner for Regional policy, Ms Johannes Hahn, will open the discussion with an update on the implementation of the funds.

In view of the Hearings of Commissioners-Designate, the workshop aims to outline the state of play of the current legislation and to identify and describe the unresolved and upcoming key issues and challenges for Europe in the area of competences of the ENVI Committee for the next five years.
