The Committee on Budgets will discuss the proposed Draft Amending Budget (DAB 6), which aims to provide EUR 11,5 billion to put into action for the EU economic recovery plan, on 13 July. The proposal seeks to, in particular, create a solvency support window within the European Fund for Strategic Investments, reinforce the European Fund for Sustainable Development, set up the new REACT-EU, and increase the capital of the European Investment Fund (EIF) to implement additional guarantee amounts.

The Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs will look into the Commission evaluation report on the implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation, as adopted on 24 June 2020. The report presents a first evaluation of the implementation of the GDPR after two years of its application. The meeting will take place with Justice Commissioner Didier Reynders, on 13 July.

The Committee on Legal Affairs will discuss the reports on corporate due diligence and corporate accountability, and on sustainable corporate governance, on 13 July. The Committee will also look into the opinion on the establishment of an EU Mechanism on Democracy, the Rule of Law and Fundamental Rights, and vote on two texts on the cooperation between the courts: evidence in civil or commercial matters, and service of judicial and extrajudicial documents in civil or commercial matter.

The Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs will hold a debate on digital taxation, taking into account recent developments at both the international and the EU level. The meeting will take place on 13 July, with the participation of Pascal Saint Amans (OECD), and Benjamin Angel (DG TAXUD, European Commission).

The Committee on Environment, Public Health and Food Safety will vote on its report on addressing the problem of shortage of medicines, which has worsened during the COVID-19 crisis, at its meetings of 13 and 14 July. It will also vote on amending the current regulation on type approval of motor vehicles with respect to emissions from light passenger and commercial vehicles (Euro 5 and Euro 6). The report includes a lowered value for the conformity factor and its gradual annual lowering.

The Committee on Transport and Tourism will hold a debate with Kerstin Jorna, European Commission Director-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs, on matters falling within the Committee’s remit, on 14 July. The discussion will mainly focus on the tourism part of the EU Recovery Plan and the revised Multiannual Financial Framework.

Parliament's committees will meet representatives of the German Presidency of the Council of the European Union to discuss its priorities in relation to the committees' respective areas of responsibility. These meetings will start taking place as of 3 July 2020. The German Presidency started in the beginning of July and runs until the end of December 2020.
